Digging Ditches

Maine April 2012 - 0774

When all the sounds in your phone are programmed to sound like water.

When you float every afternoon in your apartment-sized tub.

When you squeal like a toddler with a cupcake in each hand at the 3 drops of rain on your windshield.

The desert may not be your home.

You may realize that your well is dry and you may know the aquifer that feeds the well has gone from gushing to trickling to being a desert itself. You must travel far to the sea and dig and dig and dig a new trail.

A trail for the trickling water to feed the aquifer. To fill the well. To live your life.
